First Android TV Launch in Switzerland
Taking over as program manager for an existing project with the risk of running late and affecting company wide programs. Delivered new entertainment applications (Horizon GO/upc tv) for phone, tablet, PC on time with the planned features. Besides ensuring local business readiness such as customer care, marketing, communication the responsibility my responsibility also included coordination of SW delivery from Liberty Global in Netherlands and several suppliers across Europe, India and US.
Responsible for running all technical presales activities across the region with a distributed team of 5 people. Responsibilities included to ensure appropriate services and architecture proposal for new prospects. This also included as ramping up the customer facing team for deploying Cloud TV infrastructure through training and consulting across the EMEA region.
Responsible for partner / channels support to Nokia as well as leading solution services offering creation for IPTV / OTT proposals across Europe, Middle East and Asia
Several prove of concepts / trials done for the cloud TV platform in Russia, Netherland, Singapore, Germany and UK with STB as well as phone, tablet and browser as client devices.
Successful project manager to launch two Xbox360 video application in Germany, first in market.
Responsible for launching IPTV on Xbox360 in Portugal.
Overall Responsibility Engagement Manager for delivering Mediaroom as commercial service in Switzerland up to 1 million subscribers changing the TV landscape fundamentally.
The role included close management of the development team in the US, organize professional services organization across Europe and managing the ecosystem for Swisscom’s Mediaroom deployment. This role represents Ericsson/Microsoft TV on all level within Swisscom, from project teams up to the CEO. Managed team size up to 8 developers, architects, support engineers with yearly revenue ranging from 1 to 2mio CHF / USD.
Furthermore, I held the same role for engagement in United Kingdom, Russia, Hungary.
Additional activities include presentations at public and internal events plus taking responsibility for process and tool optimization to achieve more efficient organization
Fully responsible product manager for Swisscom’s first TV service trial. The role included definition and execution of product and content definition, logistics, support as well as selecting the participants and analysis of the result. As outcome, Swisscom decided to continue and launch a commercial IPTV service.
Responsible to setup corporate intranet and moving then to be the product manager of the company’s core product around digital content distribution over IP multicast and satellite. In addition, I established 3 reseller agreements and partnerships and did successfully setup the outsourcing of the development and support to an Indian partner.
Starting as a trainee for the revenue management platform through managing the system development, operation and a team of 6 people. During this phase I was involved and driven the implementation of the platform and continuous improvement as well as technology evolution from a pure mainframe solution through a client server architecture. Customers served were in Switzerland, Belgium and Austria.

I have successfully managed all aspects of the delivery cycle from business development and deal closure through to product delivery, launch and continued growth. My project and program-management and communication skills have been instrumental in navigating complex and global environments, leading to significant industry achievements.
Over the last 20 years, I have delivered 8 major product launches, some of which resulted in over 1 million customers.
I have also been responsible for 3 successful cloud TV projects. My contribution went beyond the traditional role of a project manager, as I also contributed significantly as a product manager and product owner. In some cases I took over the role or extended the existing teams.
