2019 - 2023: Daimler Trucks BEV and Fuel cell project

Role: Technical Project Leader High Voltage Software & Diagnostics

Customer: Daimler AG, Stuttgart Germany

Tasks:

  • HIL project Lead cross-functional team, both internal and external, in the development of new HV power train HW and SW features.
  • Coordination of comprehensive HV component designs in the form of best practice and focus on HV safety and quality which represents Daimler portfolio Battery electric Trucks.
  • Development of MEAs for fuel cells in a joint project with Daimler AG and Volvo; material and durability tests; Investigation of aging mechanisms of LT-PEM MEAs; Market observation and derivation of new products in the field of hydrogen fuel cells; Transfer of basic technology in the field of hydrogen and fuel cells to pre-serie.
  • Lead component testing & simulation team to execute PCT, FCT on HIL and SIL and suggestion improvement for component development and global HV strategy for Daimler products.
  • Evaluate technologies, best practices, market trends and design HV software architecture by understanding end to end business requirements and engaging with product team so that business needs aligns with overall application strategy.
  • Co-lead developing, sourcing and managing key supplier.
  • Direct the effort to define the project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility of new technologies.
  • Deeply understands the technical requirements and product architecture (TCP / IP, CAN, J1939, J1739) to decide the technology stack, frameworks, platform, third party frameworks/platform, which can be used to build the solution.
  • Creation of concepts and specifications as well as coordination of requirements with the stakeholders / product owners of the systems and components involved. Eg FOTA, POTA
  • Analysis and creation of security concepts and security analyzes (TARA, FTA, FMEA)

2016 - 2019: Opel and GM domain vehicle architecture

Role: Electrical Interface Architect

Customer: OPEL Automobile Gmbh / General Motors, Frankfurt, Germany

Tasks:

  • Lead the assigned inter-functional technical team to define the vehicle and system requirements based on future E / E topologies of the OEMs and derive vehicle, system, and component test requirements.
  • Design and develop diagnostic concepts based on the respective drive type and E / E architecture. This includes topics such as diagnostic communication (OBD, UDS, SOVD), flash routines, variant concepts, etc. for the areas of end of line and aftersales. Also develop concepts for new connectivity topics such as remote or predictive diagnosis.
  • Continuously improve the architectures & Diagnostic concepts to create cross-system at vehicle level and include all domains (powertrain, chassis, body, infotainment, etc.). Based on the most varied of architectures from classic embedded ECUs to SOA (service-oriented architecture), the use of MBSE (model based SW engineering) is also a component with a focus on feature-based requirements development.
  • Ensuring a requirement-based E / E component analysis of hardware and construction scopes through to semiconductor architectures and their software content, as well as the subsequent derivation and implementation of measures, rounds off your field of activity.
  • Assess Project risks, implement quick mitigation and provide transparent status to management.

2010 - 2014: End of line testing, Integration of VW, and Skoda cars

Role: Assistant Manager

Customer: Volkswagen India, Pune, India/ Wolfsburg, Germany

Tasks:

  • Implementer of technically sophisticated basic software solutions for SW-Layers, Software Drivers and Communication.
  • Development of hardware-related software components (basic software) on embedded systems according to standards like e.g. Autosar and Adaptive Autosar.
  • Performing of Basic Software System Integration into Electronics Hardware Control units.
  • Ensure manufacturing operations are running effectively in the areas of safety, quality, efficiency/productivity, cost, and team member morale.
  • Development of Test Concepts for Validation and Verification for Basic Software Components.
  • Coordination of the software requirements and solutions with colleagues from various departments.
  • Responsible for Homologation and regulation as per Indian standards through defining SORs, Technical review and technical assessment of the supplier
